Baseball Recap: Pass Christian Comes Up Short

Pass Christian came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Sumrall Bobcats by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Pass Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Sumrall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pass Christian will head out to take on Resurrection Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumrall, they will venture away from home to square off against Mize at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
