Football Game Recap: Ashland-Greenwood vs. Falls City

Ashland-Greenwood won the last time they met up with Falls City, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Ashland-Greenwood made easy work of Falls City on Friday and carried off a 28-0 victory. Followers of Ashland-Greenwood probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

No one put up better numbers for Ashland-Greenwood than junior Bryce Kitrell, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 118 yards and 1 touchdown. Junior Hunter Washburn was in the mix, too, providing Ashland-Greenwood with 2 touchdowns.

The win bumped Ashland-Greenwood's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Falls City back to even at 3-3.

Next week Ashland-Greenwood take on Lincoln Christian at 3:00 PM. Lincoln Christian are limping into the contest on a six-game losing streak. Falls City will take on Nebraska City at home at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
