Basketball Recap: East Liverpool Takes a Loss

East Liverpool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Linsly Cadets, falling 60-37. While losing is never fun, the Potters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 418th in Ohio, while the Cadets are ranked 23rd in West Virginia).

East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Linsly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Liverpool will square off against Oak Glen at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Linsly, they will take on Wheeling Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
