Baseball Recap: Hempfield Area Takes a Loss

Hempfield Area's last matchup with Pine-Richland could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Hempfield Area Spartans lost 11-2 to the Pine-Richland Rams. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Hempfield Area saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Firmstone, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hempfield Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hempfield Area will square off against Stagg at 1:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Pine-Richland, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against North Allegheny at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
