Basketball Game Preview: Fort Bend Clements Rangers vs. Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs

Fort Bend Clements hasn't had much luck against Fort Bend Austin recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Fort Bend Clements Rangers will be home for the holidays to greet the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Fort Bend Clements is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Fort Bend Dulles, falling 56-33. The Rangers were down 50-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Austin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Fort Bend Elkins 91-42. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Fort Bend Austin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Fort Bend Clements, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Fort Bend Clements was dealt a bruising 64-27 loss at the hands of Fort Bend Austin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Fort Bend Clements avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
