Union Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. The game between the Cardinals and the North Stanly Comets didn't end well, with the Cardinals falling 60-44. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amy Thomas, who posted 17 points. Laney Hildreth was another key player, putting up 14 points.

North Stanly got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexie Brown out in front who had 17 points. Another player making a difference was Shy'Mani Baskins, who earned 16 points.

Union Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Stanly, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Union Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-31 win against Anson on the 26th. As for North Stanly, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-40 victory against Montgomery Central on the 26th.
