The Valley Christian Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Wolves at 7:30 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Valley Christian is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Cristo Rey: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Valley Christian blew Cristo Rey out of the water with a 61-17 final score. The Lions pushed the score to 51-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Saints had no chance of recovering from.

Valley Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of James Shevchuck, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, and Jackson Barna, who posted eight points in addition to 13 boards and three steals. Shevchuck has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Sandulyuk, who scored seven points and nine boards.
Valley Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 39 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Western Sierra Collegiate Academy entered their tilt with Buckingham Charter on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-25 victory over the Knights. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.
Valley Christian better keep an eye on Daniel Vovc. He was instrumental in Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's win, putting up 17 points. John Harb was another key player, earning ten points.
Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Western Sierra Collegiate Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
