Plymouth Whitemarsh beats Wissahickon for their fifth straight win

The Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by Wissahickon on the road to the tune of 56-28. The result was nothing new for Plymouth Whitemarsh, who have now won six matches by 28 points or more so far this season.

Plymouth Whitemarsh's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Everett Baker, who rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Baker was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Nazye Boggs was another key contributor, rushing for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.

Despite the loss, Wissahickon saw an underclassman step up: Quasir Sampson rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns. Sampson is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.

Plymouth Whitemarsh's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.8 points per game. As for Wissahickon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth Whitemarsh will take on Upper Moreland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Upper Moreland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Plymouth Whitemarsh is ranked 78th). As for Wissahickon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cheltenham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
