Baseball Game Preview: Middleburgh Knights vs. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights

The Middleburgh Knights will square off against the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Middleburgh fell victim to Fonda-Fultonville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Valley Hawks by a score of 2-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Valley Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Berne-Knox-Westerlo, falling 17-5.

Having lost for the first time this season, Middleburgh fell to 2-1. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Middleburgh's way against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Middleburgh made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Golden Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
