Baseball Recap: Silver Comes Up Short

After flying high against Zuni last Saturday, Silver came back down to earth. Silver came up short against the Gadsden Panthers on Tuesday, falling 14-1. The matchup marked the Fighting Colts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Silver has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. The victory got Gadsden back to even at 5-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver will take on Cobre at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver's pitchers better be ready for this one: Cobre has averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Gadsden, they will challenge Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
