Softball Recap: South Bend Adams Takes a Loss

South Bend Adams made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Bend Saint Joseph, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Audreyana Gizzi was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Prikosovich, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

South Bend Adams' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, South Bend Saint Joseph will face off against New Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. South Bend Adams will be paying especially close attention to South Bend Saint Joseph's match: after South Bend Saint Joseph faces off against New Prairie, they'll take on South Bend Adams again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
