Softball Recap: Henderson Takes a Loss

Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 12-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Maia Royer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Villa Maria Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Henderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Villa Maria Academy, they will take on Gwynedd Mercy Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
