Volleyball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Arlington was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Elmwood on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Leipsic Vikings on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-9, 25-18.

Callie Hartman paced Arlington's offense, picking up four kills. Hartman got some help from Ellie Marquart and her eight assists.

Jaelynn Siefer went supernova For Leipsic., getting 18 digs and two aces. Siefer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Aubrey Benton also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Arlington now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Leipsic, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Arlington will face off against Wynford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Leipsic, after both having extra time off, they and Temple Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
