Baseball Recap: Powell County Comes Up Short

Powell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Spencer County Bears.

Powell County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacy Dicken, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Dylan Carter also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Powell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Spencer County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Powell County is taking a road trip to face off against Tates Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spencer County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bullitt East at 6:00 p.m.
