It was a good run, but Lutheran South unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Vianney Golden Griffins, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

Lutheran South's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Vianney, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 26-0.

Lutheran South and Vianney should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Lancers will take on Priory at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (164 vs. 341). Meanwhile, Vianney (ranked third) will meet Festus (ranked 75th) at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Griffins 1.6, the Tigers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
