Softball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Chapel Academy easily dispatched Central Florida Christian Academy last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 10-8 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Lilian Stuart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Natalie Keen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Calvary Chapel Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for City of Life Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Calvary Chapel Academy will challenge rival Morningside Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, City of Life Christian Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Master's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
