While McArthur's win against Hollywood Hills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Spartans on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

McArthur had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 22-25, 25-21, 26-25, 15-7.

Despite the loss, Hollywood Hills still got an impressive performance from Christian Hernandez, who had 38 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Sandy Sanjurjo, who had 11 digs.

McArthur's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-6. As for Hollywood Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

As of now, neither McArthur nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
