It was a good run, but Newton (Home School) unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wichita Defenders HomeSchool Defenders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Defenders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.

Kasodi Schroeder paced Newton (Home School)'s offense, picking up five kills. Schroeder got some help from Hannah Hoelscher and her nine assists. Hoelscher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Newton (Home School)'s loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wichita Defenders HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Newton (Home School) wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF on the 20th. Wichita Defenders HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
