Chino Hills basketball team looking to tie state record

Huskies have scored 100 points or more in all four playoff games.

Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday that national No. 1 Chino Hills (Calif.) is on the verge of tying the state record for 100-point games in a season.

The Huskies (31-0) have hit the century mark 17 times and can tie the California mark of 18 set by Balboa (San Francisco) in 1995-96 in their next outing.

Leading the nation in scoring at 100.4 points per game, Chino Hills meets Immanuel (Reedley) on Friday in the opening round of the CIF Open Division playoffs.

According to scoring statistics submitted to MaxPreps (through 29 games), junior LiAngelo Ball leads the Huskies in scoring at 27.9 points per game. Leading National Player of the Year candidate and older brother Lonzo Ball is next at 23.2 per game, while freshman and the final piece of the brotherly trio LaMelo Ball adds 16.6.



All-American role player Elizjah Scott, a 6-foot-4 junior wing, puts up another 16.4 points per game.
