Volleyball Recap: Enfield Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Newington

Enfield faced Newington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Eagles came out on top against the Nor'easters by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Nor'easters on April 5th, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.

While Enfield might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Newington scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 28-26, 25-21.

The win made it two in a row for Enfield and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for Newington, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-4.

As for Newington, they will venture away from home to challenge Lewis Mills at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Nor'easters are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
