Pittsfield barely beat Barry Western the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saukees put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp  12-5 win on Friday. The Saukees might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Lila Simon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-5 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Grace Henry was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.  Emma Wombles was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Pittsfield  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in three consecutive  games.
Pittsfield has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Barry Western, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record  this season.
 Pittsfield will look to defend their home field  on Monday against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly  at 4:30  p.m. Barry Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
