Baseball Recap: Righetti Beats Bishop Montgomery for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Righetti entered their tilt with Bishop Montgomery on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Knights 16-5. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Israel Rocha tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Kesner, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Matthias Munar also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Righetti kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Righetti's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.
