Trinity hadn't done well against Sedgwick recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Celtics put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 12-4 win. Considering the Celtics have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Trinity's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sedgwick, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Trinity will head out to face off against Remington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sedgwick, they will venture away from home to challenge Chase County on Monday.
