Bear Creek strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Edison Vikings with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Natalie Trujillo spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Amiyah Owens, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Maloy, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bear Creek's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Edison, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-13 record.

Coincidentally, Bear Creek and Edison will both be playing Tokay the next time they take the field. The Vikings will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bruins will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on May 1.
