The Maumee Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Archbold Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maumee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Maumee fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Northview on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 9-8. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Taylor Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Autumn Gugger, who scored a run while going 1-for-5.

Meanwhile, Archbold waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Rams.

Archbold's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Maumee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Maumee was able to grind out a solid victory over Archbold in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maumee since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
