Football Game Preview: Irvington Blue Knights vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates + How To Watch

The Irvington Blue Knights will head out to face off against the Seton Hall Prep Pirates at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Irvington is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Irvington and Union City were almost perfectly matched up, but Irvington suffered a 7-6 loss.

Meanwhile, Seton Hall Prep took a blow against Don Bosco Prep on Saturday, falling 40-7. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Ironmen are ranked first).

Seton Hall Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Hug and Sean Hayes. Hug is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season.

Seton Hall Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Irvington, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.

Irvington couldn't quite get it done against Seton Hall Prep when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 23-12. Thankfully for the Blue Knights, Michael Dunmore (who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
