Lake Zurich waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Trinity Oaks Christian Academy Huskies.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Zurich took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-15.

Wyatt Jones paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up seven kills. Jones got some help from Yani Oblakov and his 18 assists. Oblakov was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Lake Zurich's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Trinity Oaks Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Lake Zurich will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Buffalo Grove at 6:00 p.m. As for Trinity Oaks Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Christian Heritage Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
