Baseball Game Preview: West Chicago Wildcats vs. Glenbard West Hilltoppers

The West Chicago Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Glenbard West Hilltoppers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glenbard West took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West Chicago, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, West Chicago needed a bit of extra time to put away Elmwood Park. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Glenbard West came up short against Downers Grove South on Saturday and fell 17-12. The Hilltoppers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

West Chicago's win bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Glenbard West, their loss dropped their record down to 10-17.

West Chicago suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Glenbard West when the teams last played back in May of 2016. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
