Football Recap: Rabun County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Rabun County and Pepperell squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Rabun County had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Dragons 34-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Ty Truelove threw for 107 yards on 12 of 30 attempts. Reed Burrell was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards.

Moss Tant looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 202 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Those 202 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Tyler Barkley also deserves some recognition as he posted his first receiving yards of the season.

Rabun County moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Pepperell, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Rabun County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pepperell, they will head out on the road to take on Worth County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Dragons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
