Softball Preview: Jennings Bulldogs vs. Grand Lake Hornets
The Jennings Bulldogs will head out to take on the Grand Lake Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jennings has three straight wins, Grand Lake has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Jennings proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 18) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out DeQuincy 4-3.
Jenna Morvant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
