Softball Recap: Sunnyside's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sunnyside proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 17) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Chandler Wolves 6-4. The win was nothing new for the Blue Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Vianney Cruz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted over her last five games. The team also got some help courtesy of Soleil Ponce, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Sunnyside's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Chandler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Sunnyside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Arizona College Prep on the 20th. As for Chandler, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-7 loss against Eastmark on the 20th.
