Softball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss

Willow Spring fell victim to Corinth Holders and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Storm's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Savannah Callis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Corinth Holders, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
