Basketball Recap: Canfield Extends Home Winning Streak to 18

Canfield had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They beat the Crestwood Red Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 62-37. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Canfield's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for Crestwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.

Coming up, Canfield will square off against Streetsboro at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Streetsboro will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Canfield surely won't give up without a fight. Crestwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
