Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Marion Wildcats, falling 6-3. Mt. Vernon were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Marion earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Marion, they moved to 5-14 with that victory, which also ended their six-match losing streak.

Mt. Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marion, they will host Carterville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
