Basketball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Wake Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 79-37 loss at the hands of the Oak Forest Warriors. The Bulldogs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Hefner, who posted eight points.

Oak Forest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Woolard, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 14 points and seven boards. Ryder Zingelmann was another key player, going 8-for-11 en route to 18 points and five rebounds.

Oak Forest's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Wake Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 65-59 loss against New Life Camp on the 10th. As for Oak Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-19 win against Bethel Christian Academy on the 13th.
