West had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cyprus Pirates. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

The victory didn't come easy: Cyprus scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 28-26, 17-25, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Marisia Hansen, who had 12 digs and ten assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

West was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They served two more aces than Cyprus' also-impressive total of ten.

Despite the loss, Cyprus had strong showings from Saris Rengifo, who had 24 digs and one assist, and ?Ilisapesi Tu'ivai, who had 17 assists and ten digs. Rengifo is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

West's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Cyprus, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
