Volleyball Recap: Seckman Triumphs

Seckman won the last time they faced Bishop DuBourg and things went their way on Saturday too. The Jaguars came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Seckman took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-9.

Sophia Ferrell paced Seckman's offense, picking up six kills. Ferrell got some help from Meghan Holt and her eight assists. Holt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Seckman's win bumped their record up to 12-3-2. As for Bishop DuBourg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Seckman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Festus on the 20th. As for Bishop DuBourg, they will be playing at home against Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Cavaliers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
