Volleyball Recap: Jacksboro Starts off Right with Win over Chico

Jacksboro gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Chico Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Jacksboro never let Chico on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.

Hayden Walker paced Jacksboro's offense, picking up 14 kills. Walker got some help from Brooke Reaves and her 16 assists.

Camryn Sides and Savanna Sitek certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Sides had 14 digs, nine kills, two aces, and one block, while Sitek had 31 digs. Another player making a difference was Rylee Adams, who had six kills, four digs, and four aces.

Coming up, Jacksboro will be taking part in a tournament against Electra at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Chico, they will square off against Bridgeport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
