Soccer Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Laton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Coalinga Horned Toads. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly eight goals.

Laton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Coalinga, they moved to 3-5-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Laton and Avenal will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coalinga will take on Farmersville in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Farmersville's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
