Volleyball Recap: Lake Norman Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lake Norman was the 3-0 winner over South Iredell when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Vikings on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-14.

Lake Norman's offense was headlined by Madeline Darnell and Ella Conway, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Alayna Lefebvre and her 12 assists. Finally, Sage Duerr kept Lake Norman's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Bella Gallyon went supernova For South Iredell., getting 24 digs and three assists. Gallyon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Lake Norman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for South Iredell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Lake Norman has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Iredell on the 7th. As for South Iredell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Statesville on the 7th.
