Soccer Game Preview: Oneida vs. Roane County

The Oneida Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Roane County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Oneida sitting on four straight victories and Roane County on 11.

On Tuesday, Oneida made easy work of Eagleton College & Career Academy and carried off a 5-2 win. It was an even better day for Levi James as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Roane County kept a clean sheet against Harriman on Tuesday. They blew past the Blue Devils 6-0. The result was nothing new for Roane County, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Roane County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six matches. As for Oneida, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Oneida came up short against Roane County in their previous meeting back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
