Volleyball Recap: Carlmont Comes Up Short

Carlmont was the 2-0 winner over Harker when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The Scots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexander Mahadew paced Carlmont's offense, picking up six kills. Mahadew got some help from Tyler Louie and his 11 assists. Finally, Noah Meeks kept Carlmont's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Carlmont's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Harker, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Carlmont has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Saint Francis on the 25th. As for Harker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Archbishop Mitty on the 26th.
