Basketball Recap: Ben Lomond Falls Short of Carbon in the Playoffs

Ben Lomond and Carbon squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ben Lomond had to settle for second. They were dealt a 76-13 loss at the hands of the Carbon Dinos. The Scots' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it 14 in a row.

Nhyema Simpson was Ben Lomond's leading scorer, having posted five points.

Carbon found their leader in freshman Elsie Morley, who posted ten points and eight steals. Carbon is undefeated when Morley posts three or more steals, but 4-17 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Curtis, who had 13 points.

Ben Lomond's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Carbon, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.

Ben Lomond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carbon, they will face off against South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in South Summit's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Carbon has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
