Parker Ronchetto and Brandon Watt provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Rensselaer Central. The connection was good for 79 yards, the longest such play in Hoosier this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, West Lafayette beat the Bombers 20-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Red Devils.
Ronchetto threw for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Wyatt Johnson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Twin Lakes beat Benton Central. The 5-foot-5 junior.
Watt was the best wideout in the league this week as West Lafayette topped Rensselaer Central. Watt tallied 4 receptions for 122 yards. Travis Rolle helped West Lafayette's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 83 yards.
West Lafayette's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ronchetto has thrown for 1,182 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Rolle has 25 catches for 370 yards.
Shane Fry's team's Maurice Woodard needs only 37 yards against the Indians next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 131 carries Woodard has accumulated 963 yard this year.
A big matchup in Hoosier this week will be when Twin Lakes takes on the Red Devils. Justin Gardiner's team is in fourth place, while West Lafayette is in first place.
Delphi Community and Hammond Gavit played the closest game in the league this week, with Delphi Community eventually emerging with a 12-6 victory. Garrett Johnson ran for 187 yards during the win.
