Baseball Recap: Chichester's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Chichester put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Chester. The Eagles blew past the Clippers 15-0. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 15 runs or more this season.

Cole Sanford made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Chichester: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Kester, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Chichester's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Gavin Derrickson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The win was the fourth in a row for Chichester, bringing their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
