Volleyball Recap: East Buchanan Comes Up Short

East Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

East Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Maquoketa Valley, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Buchanan is set to square off against their familiar foe Edgewood-Colesburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Maquoketa Valley will take on rival Central City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
