Big Game from Silver As River Forest Fell 42-21

Starting off the list is River Forest's Ayden Silver, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Silver rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 174 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.

River Forest's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4. Silver and River Forest will square off against Lake Station Edison at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mark Rowland Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Mark Rowland's big game helped extend Boone Grove's winning streak to three on Friday. Rowland was excellent, throwing for 161 yards and five touchdowns. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game.

Lake Station Edison's probably not too fond of Rowland given he always seems to get the better of them. Rowland threw for 265 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes the last time he and the Fighting Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.
