Softball Preview: Venture Academy Mustangs vs. Millennium Falcons        
        
		
            
 Venture Academy is 0-10 against Millennium since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Venture Academy Mustangs are on the road again  to play the Millennium Falcons at 4:00  p.m. Venture Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season.
 Venture Academy will bounce into Thursday's   game after  beating Elliot Christian, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Everything went Venture Academy's way against Elliot Christian on Tuesday as Venture Academy made off with  an  18-4 win. The result was nothing new for Venture Academy, who have now won five contests by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
  Savanah Espinoza was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned runs off   eight  hits. Espinoza was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with four  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.
 In other batting news, Venture Academy got a  massive  performance out of  Sariya Reyes, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Tiffany Bruss, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and a  double.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 14  runs the game before, Millennium was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  two weeks ago. They suffered a  rough 9-1 loss at the hands of Big Valley Christian.
 Millennium saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jocelyn Hernandez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last five games she's  played.
 Venture Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Millennium, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Millennium's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  Venture Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .493. It's a different story for Millennium, though, as  they've  only  averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Venture Academy's hitters?
 Venture Academy might still be hurting after the  16-2 loss they got from Millennium  when the teams last played  on April 2nd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Millennium's  Alicia Robinson, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-4.
