Baseball Game Preview: Park Crossing Thunderbirds vs. Rehobeth Rebels

The Park Crossing Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to face off against the Rehobeth Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Park Crossing came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Pike Road by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

M SMITH, JR was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. SMITH, JR was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

SMITH, JR wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was J GREEN, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. GREEN has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, Rehobeth had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Long by a score of 10-6. Rehobeth's win was all the more impressive since Long was averaging only 3.94 runs allowed on the season.

Park Crossing now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Rehobeth, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
