Softball Game Preview: Eureka Loggers vs. Del Norte Warriors

The Eureka Loggers are taking a road trip to challenge the Del Norte Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Eureka is looking for their season's first win.

Eureka came up short against McKinleyville on Saturday, falling 16-10.

Jaycee Childress was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Secor, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Del Norte made easy work of McKinleyville on Wednesday and carried off a 7-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Del Norte and bumps their season record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Eureka, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1.

Eureka suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Del Norte in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Loggers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
